Chronomentrophobia

from Imperative Decreation by Imperative Decreation

/

about

‘Chronomentrophobia’ follows the delusional thoughts of a patient previously appearing in Capgras. His fear of clocks symbolizes the altered perception of time resulting from his condition and the anxiety it causes.

lyrics

Hours wasted fading like the colour from my face
Hours waiting on the precipice of eternity
Ticking hands force me closer to an empty space
Shattering all sense of reality

Lost in this spectral gaze
I let it all fade away
Within this common malaise
I’m left to slowly decay
A depiction of infinity
Encapsulated in sphericity
Within this lies the reality
That the hands will stop eventually

The malice of time
Begins to seal my fate
To be laid beneath the dirt
In a mire of waste
Like an eye to my soul
Seconds begin to take hold
Grinding my life to an end
Slowly below I descend

A relentless pulsating sonic disruption
Fuels a festering insomnia

Hours wasted fading like the colour from my face
Hours waiting on the precipice of eternity
Ticking hands force me closer to an empty space
Shattering all sense of reality

A relentless pulsating sonic disruption
Fuels a festering insomnia
